Since 2013, Nimble Fingers have been knitting and crocheting prayer cloths, prayer shawls, baby hats and blankets, chemo hats, etc. Beginning in 2015, we have been keeping a log of items we have given away. Virginia Jones has been our record keeper and shows that we have given away almost 550 prayer shawls/blankets/afghans (including three to families of fallen service members in 2023-2025), hundreds of pocket prayer cloths, dozens of chrochet crosses and baby caps/blankets and several special item gifts. In 2024, Pastor Pat Allin led two congregational prayer shawl blessings in May and November. In 2024, 48 prayer shawls were distribute. Annually, the group recognizes confirmands with a prayer shawl gift and hig school grads with an afghan.
